The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation(MSRDC) has given a second chance for online bids submission up til June 29th for the proposed Goods and Servixes Tax (GST) Bhavan. The bids will be submitted only by the three pre-qualified contractors named -- ACC India Private Ltd., Larsen & Toubro Ltd., and Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Pvt. Ltd.

Interestingly, the bids will be accepted only if the said contractors pay the earnest money deposit of Rs 7.35 crore.

The said proposed project includes building GST office along with training Academy, auditorium and two basements on 2.98 lakh area. The estimated cost of the project Rs 1470 crore. The project will be carried out on Engineering, Procurement, and Construction model and once the deal is signed with the selected agency, the work period will be of 30 months.

The first tender in February was called inviting these companies to submit bids, however a second chance has been given now following the Covid-19 situation said an official from the MSRDC. Meanwhile it is also reportedly seeking permissions from the airport authority of India (AAI) to construct 25 storeyed highrise four towers for which the Floor Space Index (FSI) of five will be required. If not allowed the building will be of 19,20,21 and 22 floors only.
