What: A group exhibition incorporating the latest works of 20 artists residing in Mumbai and its vicinity has been organised by Art Vision – an organization founded by Arjun Machiwale, Riyaz Kazi and Mahesh Kadam. Participating artists are Arjun Machivale, Riyaz Kazi, Mahesh Kadam, Mahesh Ballu, Javed Mulla, Avinash Deshmukh, Sanjay Puranik, Kavita Punekar, Kumar Gaikwad, Varsha Gadkari, Alka Pandey, Chintaman Bhambre, Aruna Phatak, Alpa Thakker, Anuradha Sawant, Ajay Bhosale, Sunil Mestri, Chandra Rawal, Rustum Pathan, Ishaque Ali. The inauguration of this group exhibition will be held on January 13 at 3 p.m. at the auspicious hands of P. R. Rai – Chairman- Rammurthy Education Society with presence of Jatin Rai – Director, and Janhvi P. Rai Kotian – Principal of St. Xaviers English High School and Junior College, Thane. Guests of honour to be present on this occasion will be Chandrashekhar Desai, Kailash Odedr Saheb, Mukhtar Kazi, Safdar Shami, Arun M. Marathe. Different facets of artwork created and displayed by the participating artists in this unique group exhibition cover a wide range such as realistic work, abstract work, semi-abstract work with a realistic base, seascapes, landscapes, cityscapes, portraits and figurative work, monumental work to highlight our heritage at historical places, spiritual work etc. Art vision was founded in 2012 with the aim of providing a platform to art teacher based in Mumbai and its surroundings.
