This year on December 17, 2017, DIYA Mumbai is conducting this annual seminar on the theme ‘Gita in Day to Day Life’. The perennial teachings of the Bhagwat Geeta can help an individual change his/her perspective towards life. It can help one unravel the mysteries of life and apply its teachings in day to day life for a stress-free and quality life.
Divine India Youth Association (DIYA), is a prominent-youth movement of the 21st Century, which aims at channelising the immense potential of the youth. The idea of DIYA was conceived by AP J Abdul Kalam (former President and noted Scientist) and Pranav Pandya (head- All World Gayatri Pariwar, Founder-Mentor of DIYA and Chancellor of the Dev Sanskriti University in Haridwar), when the former visited the Dev Sanskriti University at Haridwar as the chief guest of its second convocation ceremony.
DIYA draws volunteers from different streams and walks of life such as doctors, teachers, scientists, IT professionals, Chartered Accountants, Advocates, writers etc., who take time out of their professional and personal lives and devote it to the activities conducted by DIYA. DIYA conducts an array of activities of social and national importance, including but not limited to, cleanliness drives in rural and urban areas, cleaning of rivers, de-addiction drives, massive tree-plantations, educational initiatives, disaster management, workshops on yoga and fitness, conducting seminars/symposiums/talks in schools & colleges, amongst scientific community, finance professionals etc. to sensitise the youth towards nation building by way of these activities.
