Sardar Patel Institute of Technology’s Model United Nations, 2019

Sardar Patel Institute of Technology is hosting its sixth edition of Model United Nations from January 12th to January 13th, 2019 at Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, Bhavan’s Campus. At Model UN conferences, students participate as delegates representing nations or political leaders in simulations of United Nations sessions, debating, negotiating, caucusing, drafting, and voting on resolutions that address world problems. S.P.I.T has been successfully hosting the MUN for the past 6 years with delegate participation from across the nation. With this year’s motto of ‘Listen. Speak. Resolve’, S.P.I.T MUN believes that it is of paramount importance for every individual to be well acquainted with world politics and foreign policies of various nations, considering the rate at which globalisation is advancing in today’s era. The 2019 edition sees a simulation of diverse and highly pertinent committees that will cover a wide array of global affairs hoping every delegate will be able to find an SPIT MUN committee that sparks his or her interest and allows them to truly blossom as a diplomat.

Committees simulated at SPIT MUN 2019 are as follows: United Nations Security Council (UNSC),  Lok Sabha,  United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), Disarmament and International Security (DISEC) (Inviting applications only from school students for DISEC). The agenda of each committee is posted on the official website, ( We very much look forward to the intellectually challenging and enjoyable conference, with cash prizes of upto Rs. 44,000 up for grabs. Registrations for the same have already commenced, and we strongly encourage you to register which will guarantee your delegation a spot in our conference. The registration fee is Rs. 1500. For school students it is Rs. 1200 for DISEC and Rs. 1500 otherwise.
