Bharti Airtel’s tower sale accords in Tanzania, Chad lapse

New Delhi: Bharti Airtel’s agreements for sale of tower assets in Tanzania and Chad between the respective subsidiaries of Bharti Airtel and Helios Towers Africa have lapsed, the company informed the stock exchanges on Wednesday.

“We would like to inform you that the agreement for sale of tower assets in Tanzania and Tchad (Chad) between the respective subsidiaries of Bharti Airtel Limited and Helios Towers Africa have lapsed and therefore stands terminated,” the company said in a statement.

In July 2014, the telecom service operator said it will sell about 3,100 telecom towers in four African nations to Helios Towers Africa.
