Asian Paints profit rise by 18.44 percent

Mumbai: Leading paints company Asian Paints is said to have posted a rise of 18.44 percent in its standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2015 at Rs.418.20 crore as against Rs.353.07 crore posted in the year ago quarter.

According to the audited financial results posted on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Total income from operations rose to Rs.3,423.96 crore against Rs.3,025.41 crore in the quarter ended December 2014.

The company incurred total expenses of Rs.2,769.50 crore in the quarter under review compared to Rs.2,540.19 crore incurred in Q3 2014.

On a consolidated basis, Asian Paints posted a net profit of Rs.463.28 crore in Q3 2015-16 compared to Rs.368.18 crore posted in Q3 2014-15. Total income and total expenses grew to Rs.4,160.03 crore and Rs.3,431.95 crore on a consolidated basis.
