AparimitaSapru, art curator and a passout of J.J. School of Art has been holding successful shows in Mumbai for showcasing the artwork of such up and coming talent. After the success of ‘Hues’ this February, she comes back with another show ‘Hues 2’to bring back the vibrant colors, sophistication, creativity and talent that had marked the success of all her previous shows.
Thirty three talented artists from all across India are participating in the show using mediums like oil, acrylic, mixed media, paper, wood, and sculptures from, scrap metal to fibreglass.
The artists names are Rita Contractor, Rishabh Jhala, Karishma Wadhwa, Tushar Sapdhare, Divya Sharma, Beatrice Moses, Rashmi Mehta, Anjum Motiwala, Sanjay Akolikar, Sangeeta Charan, Kashfi Anna Pinto, Smita Shrivastava, Aseem Deuskar, Gopal Pardeshi, Ayushi Jain, Gaurav Bose, Saini Johray, Varsha Athor, Ratnaja Dixit and Hari Phulware. With Rashmi Sulakhe’s paintings created out of paper cuttings that create a kaleidoscope of patterns, SangeetaCharan’s depiction of monuments interspersed with textile collage like effect in acrylic that creates an aura of old world charm, GopalPardeshi ‘s realistic depiction of light and shade and intricate details in acrylic that does not fail to fascinate, KarishmaWadhwa’s sublime figures, especially the Buddha in oil merged in monotones that creates a serenity and spirituality which is very soothing and the inspiringly stunning works of various other equally talented artists, the show is bound to be a magical play of creativity and colors.
