Rakhee had participated for a Race Day Event on Friday 4th July, 2014. The event took place at Sandown Racecourse and included a silent and live auction for the National Brain Appeal, UK. Rakhee Shah has had up to 38 exhibitions till now mostly in London, UK and some in Mumbai.
Rakhee’s paintings have also been auctioned. Rakhee was invited to participate for an international charity event called Oceana. The event was held at the reputed auction house, Phillips De Pury, Howick Place, London, UK. It was held on 12th March, 2014 which was a private event. Her paintings in oils and a form of stucco are painstakingly executed with minute detail. Her paintings, which involve intense craftsmanship, include figurative works portraying the beauty and grace of Indian women in ethnic formal attire, to carvings in the form of various kinds of décor. Landscapes, seascapes, still life, etchings, drawings & sketches, designs, as well as abstract paintings are the various other subjects explored by her. Her paintings are unique in their style of execution as they represent more of architectural work on canvas, her collection ranging over 21 years. “I have not had formal training in this vocation, I am a self-taught artist. This spiritual inspiration has been showered on me by God. My works are the blessings of God and I want to fulfil my dream of an artist par excellence. I pray for his incessant blessings so that my vision of life is fulfilled during my lifetime,” says Rakhee.
