The 2nd Annual High-Rise India Summit & Awards, organized by Tradepass, provided the perfect platform for over 250 experts from the high-rise construction sector to come together on the 12 – 13 March 2019 at The Leela Mumbai to discuss the latest technologies, concerns, designs and analyze solutions for the upcoming projects in the Indian high-rise construction industry.

Chief Guest & keynote speaker, Shri. Durga Shanker Mishra, Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Vasudevan Suresh, Chairman, Indian Green Building Council, Girish Dravid, Director, Sterling Engineering Consultancy Services Pvt. Over the two days, the topics of discussion ranged from addressing challenges in supertall design and construction, importance of vertical transportation in high-rise buildings, fire safety in high-rise buildings to sustainability of high-rise buildings in India, the evolving role of an architect in designing a skyscraper, digital architecture and many more.

The challenge of land scarcity in urban areas is real, and it is important to address the issue of housing and infrastructure inefficiencies with urgency. Constructibility can be a powerful & sustainable enabler and the event was useful in getting all stakeholders across the construction industry together in discussing possible way forward for the same”, said Mr. Harsh Pareek, Regional Sales Director, India and SAARC, Trimble Solutions.

The two-day event ended with the HRIS Awards 2019 which recognized and acknowledged outstanding contributions by trailblazing individuals and projects in high-rise construction whose inspiring and memorable designs and structures play a major role in the ‘Evolution of the Indian Skyline.
