He's 80 and going stronger than ever, spooling in celluloid 'miles' with the roles rolling in and directors still lining up to sign him on. Amitabh Bachchan, they say, was and is still an exciting actor, perhaps the best there ever has been.

Recently, PVR Cinemas through an exclusive association with Film Heritage Foundation conducted a special screening of Amitabh Bachchan's films starting on October 8 as a part of his 80th birthday celebrations.

The films were showcased as part of a film festival titled, ‘Bachchan Back to the Beginning’.

Veteran actress Shabana Azmi shared a video of Big B’s film ‘Don’ being screened with fans cheering with joy as they enjoy.

'Don' (1978) written by Salim–Javed (Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar) was directed by Chandra Barot. The film also stars Zeenat Aman and Pran.

She took to Instagram and wrote, "Unbelievable audience to DON at PVR Juhu yesterday. People mouthing dialogues singing dancing like at a rock concert. #Salim Javed #Amitabh Bachchan rule. What a treat. Thank you #Film Heritage Foundation and #PVR cinemas."

Actress Divya Dutta, who was present at the screening commented, “I was there and it was unbelievable.”

Delnaaz Irani also wrote, “Wow 👌 surely the best ..we've grown up watching all these.”

Amitabh Bachchan commenting on the festival said, “I didn’t think that I would see a day that all these films from my early career would be back on the big screen across the country. It is a remarkable initiative of the Film Heritage Foundation and PVR to showcase not just my work, but the work of my directors, fellow actors, and technicians of the time who made these films possible. It brings back an era that is gone, but not forgotten. This is why saving India’s film heritage is so important. I hope that this is just the beginning of many festivals that will celebrate landmark films of Indian cinema back on the big screen”.
