Megastar Amitabh Bachchan recently revealed that he has quit smoking and alcohol completely and also shared some tips for his fans.
He admitted that the "intoxicants played havoc in its excess" and that it was his personal choice to give on smoking and drinking.
Big B is currently recovering from serious injuries that he sustained during the shoot of his upcoming film 'Project K' and is also focusing on resuming work slowly.

Big B revealed that during his college days, some friends got their hands on pure alcohol from the science lab and they consumed it only to fall "extremely sick". "An act that taught a lesson very early towards the effects or rather the dis effects of the elixir," he wrote in his blog.
He went on to say, "Yes there were a few other instances noticed, in School and in College , when this intoxicant played havoc due to its excess .. and then when in job in the City of Joy, the natural curriculum seemed to be in line with that phrase ‘social drinking’..."
He went on to say that he had a "sudden and immediate resolve" to quit alcohol and cigarettes, and shed light on how to do it.
"The way to leave is really quite simple .. chuck that glass of the intoxicant , while in the middle of it and crush the ‘ciggi’ on your lips at the same time and .. sayonara .. the very best way to be in riddance," Big B wrote in his blog.
Amitabh Bachchan's upcoming projects
On the work front, Big B will be next seen in 'Project K', co-starring Deepika Padukone and Prabhas. The film is being shot on a massive scale, mostly in Hyderabad.
However, the shoot has now been halted owing to the megastar's injury and Deepika's busy schedule.
Big B recently also announced another film titled 'Section 84', a courtroom thriller helmed by Ribhu Dasgupta.
Besides, he also has another film with Deepika in the pipeline, which is the remake of the cult Hollywood movie 'The Intern'.
