Youth held for abducting, raping minor

BHOPAL: Police on Sunday arrested one of the two accused who abducted and raped a 16-year-old girl in Kamla Nagar area. According to police, the victim lives in Katsi area located in Nehru Nagar. She was standing outside her home in the evening on Friday when two youth Bhujang and Aakash, who live in her neighbourhood, came on a bike and abducted her. They took her to Gitanjali Complex where Aakash raped her. She escaped from captivity on the next morning and returned her home. She related her ordeal to her mother who took her to Kamala Nagar police station and filed a case against Aakash for raping the girl and Bhujang for abducting her. As the police brought the girl to medical test, doctors confirmed the rape with her. Police have arrested Bhujang and launched a hunt to nab the main accused Aakash. According to the police sources, Aakash is a history sheeter criminal and he has been under surveillance of Kamla Nagar police.
