BHOPAL : A 19-year old blind girl, on Sunday, complained that she was lured and raped on the pretext of marriage by a 26-year-old youth for the last six months within the limits of Ashoka Garden police station.
The Ashoka Garden police, on the complaint of the girl, arrested the youth on Sunday evening and registered a case against him under sections 376, 506, 294 and 323 of the IPC.
According to the Ashoka Garden police, the victim girl resides with her mother who works in a furniture shop and younger sister who is deaf and dumb.
The accused Yogesh Shakya, resides at Semra. The victim in her complaint stated that the youth was raping her on the pretext of the marriage since December last year. When she asked him to marry her he declined. Subsequently she told her mother and filed a complaint at the police station.
