Ratlam : Western Railway Madjoor Sangh (WRMS) demonstrated against the report of the Debroy committee report, and burnt the 32 page report, terming it as against the employees and railways. Divisional Secretary of the WRMS SC Khatwani, further said that there would be serious consequences in case the report is implemented.
He said that the recommendations like constitution of the TRAI and IRMC would be against the interest of the railways and railway employees. He opposed the recommendation of merger of railway schools with the Central School organization.
Privatization of the railway medical services and separation of the RPF would also lead to new complications in the railway system. The recommendation of the committee to merge the clerical services (RBCS) with the Central Secretariat services would also be detrimental argued Khatwani.
Further handing over of the suburban railway services to the respective state governments would also pose risk to the entire railway system. Khatwani informed that demonstrations were also held at Ujjian, Mhow diesel shed, Dahod workshops, which came under the division.
