BHOPAL : A 24-year-old woman hailing from Raipur was allegedly raped in a moving car on Sunday night by four accused. The accused had promised the woman that they would get her a job. Later, after raping her they threw her from the car in the Mata Mandir area and fled. Subsequently the victim reached the Talaiya police station and registered a complaint against the accused following which all the four accused were arrested by the police.
Investigation officer ASI Badri Prasad Vishwakarma said that the victim a 24-year-old married woman resident of Raipur Chhatisgarh in her complaint stated that she had left her husband six months back and had a quarrel with her parents after which she shifted to the city on July 9. She rented a room at Balaipura and was in search of a job. On last Saturday she came in contact with the accused Ajay Yadav while roaming on VIP Road area.
After becoming acquainted with each other both started exchanging messages over WhatsApp. On Sunday night Ajay texted her that he wants her to meet a showroom owner with regards to a job. Believing him, the victim woman went alone to meet him.
When she went to the VIP Road to meet him around 10.30 pm, he along with his friends Sachin Saxena, Devendra Chaudhary and Subhash Yadav took her into their Indica Car (MP04 CE 4533) and while one of the friends was driving the car on various streets of the city Ajay raped her. Later the accused dropped her at Mata Mandir area around 12.30 pm and threatened her not to reveal the incident to anyone.
Subsequently, she narrated the incident to her landlord after which they lodged a complaint at Talaiya police station.
The Talaiya police on the complaint of the woman followed by medical examination, arrested all the accused and booked them for gang-rape.
However sources claimed that the woman’s claims seem like a conspiracy. Further action was on in the case, till reports last came in.
