BHOPAL : Two bike-borne youth snatched the gold chain of a 49-year-old woman near Chetak Bridge road on Monday morning within the limits of Govindpura police station. The youth waylaid the woman and fled after snatching her chain. The woman was so shocked that she could not even note down the number of the bike. Later when she regained her composure back she approached the Govindpura police station and registered a case of loot against unidentified youth.
According to the Govindpura police the victim Sandhya, 49, wife of Anil Yadav, resident of Kasturba Nagar in her complaint said that the incident took place around 6:30 am near Chetak Bridge where she had gone for a morning walk.
While she was walking two bike-borne youth came from behind. They waylaid her and the youth riding pillion snatched her chain. She raised alarm for help but the accused had fled till then.
The looted gold chain was worth Rs 30,000. Subsequently, the police registered a case under section 392 of the IPC against accused and started investigations.
