BHOPAL: A government officer at Betul collectorate passed indecent comments on a woman during a public hearing. The woman, annoyed over the comments made, came out of the cabin and informed people there of the officer passing indecent comments. The people who were present at the spot demanded action against the officer.
Collector was not present during the public hearing. Nazool officer PL Karkule was attending the hearing on his behalf. A woman named Lalita Gangare, had reached Karkule with application for making of BPL card for her mother. It is claimed that Karkule, stared at the woman and asked her that she does not look like a poor as she was wearing a nice saree.
The woman replied that she had come to get BPL card made for her mother. On this, Karkule replied that she should have sent her mother in such case. The comments bothered the woman and she left the cabin.
