BHOPAL : The Bairagarh police have registered a case against the WhatsApp group Admin and members who forwarded and circulated a message regarding the information of Bomb in the area on Friday morning. SP Arvind Saxena said that he has instructed the Bairagarh police to register a case under various sections of IPC and IT act against the group admin and members of the WhatsApp groups who circulated the rumour regarding the information of bomb in the area. However he did not reveal the names of the people against whom the action would be taken.
According to information police got information about a bomb in the area on Friday morning after which security was hiked in the area.
Checking points were set up and teams were formed to search for the bomb. Situation tensed as it was the festival of Eid in Friday. However within hours it was clear that the information was a rumour. When the police started investigating the source of the rumour it was traced to have started from a WhatsApp group following which SP Saxena ordered action against him.
