BHOPAL : After taking over of investigation by CBI in Vyapam scam, MP Professional Examination Board will set a separate wing for investigation and giving official papers to the investigation agency.
Board chairperson Aruna Sharma, who was given additional charge by the state government with full-fledged responsibility as additional chief secretary, panchayat and rural development department, took over the charge recently. She took stock of the cases and progress of pending examinations and results.
During interaction with officials, she asked them to set up a separate wing in the board for helping investigation so that routine work in the board could not get affected.
Regular staff in the board was over-burdened because of investigation by Special Task Force (STF) after the scam unearthed two years ago. STF officials were approaching board staff for original records of candidates and examinations for probe.
Officials said, it severely affected regular work in the board as almost all staff members in examination and confidential sections were busy in handing over records.
Besides, the board too conducted probe at its level in last two years. The chairperson told them that the separate wing will coordinate with investigation agency. Three or more officers would be posted in the wing.
