BHOPAL : Ex-ABVP national general secretary and student leader Vishnu Dutt Sharma has been appointed vice-chairman of board of Governors of Nehru Yuva Kendra. He will have the status of minister of state. Sharma will assume the charge in board meeting on Monday in Delhi. The union government on Friday issued an order for his appointment.
Talking with media, Sharma said skill development is one of the major concerns of the NDA government. NYK would do its utmost efforts in providing skill development with honing leadership quality and patriotism in youths. He thanked government and BJP leaders for the task assigned to him.
After the announcement, Sharma, who was national organisation general secretary of ABVP, reached BJP state office and met BJP leaders like Arvind Menon, MoS Deepak Joshi, MLA Rameshwar Sharma and former minister Ramkrishna Kusmaria. ABVP workers celebrated his appointments outside the state office, Chhatra Shakti Bhavan in the afternoon.
