Seoni Malwa : People of village Jhillai arrived at the office of divisional officer Dhirendra Singh and complained against the Patwai Santosh Sarathe of asking for bribe. According to the villagers, Santosh Sarathe was asking for a quintal of wheat and rupees one thousand cash to do a rightful survey of the farmers affected by the natural calamity.
Those who did not gave bribe; he made a wrong survey report of them as a result of which least amount of money was transferred in the accounts. Shivnarayan, Ramkishore, Radheshyam, Balram, Rameshvar, Hariram, Kamlesh were some of the farmers who arrived at the SDM office.
Farmers told that Rs thirty two hundred per five acres of land have been deposited. The amount fixed for the relief was Rs sixty five thousand to eight thousand per five acres. SDM promised to take strong actions against Santosh Sarathe.
