Mhow : The tribal women residents of nearby village Sitapat lodged a complaint to Badgonda police station against the village Sarpanch and the Pujari of the temple that they were not allowing them to enter in the temple during the Shravan month.

The Badgonda police station in-charge Sanjay Dubey informed that the tribal and backward class women residents of village Sitapat complained that the village Sarpanch and the temple priest were not allowing them to perform the prayers and offer water at the Shivaling of the temple. Immediately, police reached in the village and allowed the women’s entry in the temple. After that the women residents performed the ‘pujan’ in the temple.

Police said that on Tuesday, five women residents of the village Panchubai, Premabai, Sangitabai and  Manjubai arrived at the police station and lodged the complaint against the village Sarpanch and the temple priest and they were not allowing them to enter and perform the ‘pujan’ in the temple as they were tribal women.  The Badgonda police registered the case on the complaint of women residents and started the investigations. On Shravan Somvar, in the police presence, the village women performed the ‘pujan’ in the temple.
