MHOW : The Infantry School at Mhow celebrated Vijay Diwas to commemorate India’s victory in 1971 war against Pakistan which led to formation of Bangladesh on December 16. The landmark event is in the annals of history of independent India where in a swift and short operation, the Indian Army defeated Pakistan and Indian forces captured Dhaka. As many as 93,000 Pakistani soldiers had to surrender and Bangladesh was declared an Independent nation. Homage was paid martyrs at Infantry War Memorial.
