Bhopal: Congress party has submitted a memorandum to the Chief Electoral Officer demanding to use the BSNL network in webcasting not Jio network, here on Sunday. On each point, the Congress is raising question, this time on the use of network. The counting is scheduled for Tuesday and the Election Commission has given the contract of webcasting of counting to Gujarat- company, which will be using Jio network for it.
Congress media vice president Bhupendra Gupta said that the website of the EC and CEO-MP is operating BSNL network but for the webcasting they had given the contract to the Gujarat-based company which will use Jio network. He added that employees of company are working in the strong room to fix the wi-Fi network which is objectionable, “They are using laptop and it is possible that they can do data forging, which is attack on the democratic values”. He said the company had to install the CCTV cameras at the counting area not in the strong room area,
“But importantly EC is not taking any action into employees of a private firm getting access to the restricted area”. He demanded that wherever the BSNL network is available the webcasting should be done through network and contract of Jio be cancelled.
