DGP meets, regrets inconvenience to her Former CM likens Vyapam scam to Fodder scam

BHOPAL: The aggressive stand taken by former chief minister Uma Bharati, in the issue of her name taken in reference in Vyapam scam, has made the government, police as well as BJP organisation to adopt a defensive stance.

Uma’s stand rises heat on govt, BJP

Initially, Uma had decided to meet director general of police Nandan Dubey at 12 noon on Friday but Dubey himself reached Uma’s place at 9.30 am.

DGP Dubey assured Uma that there is no need for her to come to police headquarters as she is not required for interrogation in Vyapam scam. Dubey also regretted over the inconvenience caused to Uma. Uma told DGP Dubey that she wishes to give a written presentation in this matter which was accepted by the latter. Dubey also promised her to give reply to her letter.

Uma, after her meeting with DGP, reached BJP office, where she had an hour- long discussion with state president Narendra Singh Tomar and organisation general secretary Arvind Menon. Uma expressed her anger before the duo leaders for dragging her name in Vyapam scam. She told them that she was considering sitting on Dharna on this issue.

Uma while interacting with media persons termed the whole matter as part of a conspiracy. She said that the Vyapam scam is similar to Fodder scam, as its quite comprehensive and big names may surface.

She claimed that if investigations are done to the bottom of the case, it would bring those names to the fore which would shock the whole state.

She said she would appeal all those who are linked to this scam to come forward and present their case. She said those who are innocent must come out and those who are guilty must accept their wrong doings.
