Ujjain: Thousands of devotees will take a holy dip at Triveni Ghat on Shanishchari Amavasya on Saturday. On collector Sanket Bhondve’s instruction, the administration has made elaborate arrangement for expected heavy turnout of devotees.
To avert any mishap, home guards and boats have been deployed. Burma bridges have been setup for easy commutation. Barricading has also been done to prevent people from wading into deep water. Water resources department has deployed a team to maintain water level in case of heavy rain. Preventive measures have also been taken to avoid electrocution during rain.
The entire area has been barricaded to ensure smooth darshan. Carpet and green net has been laid for protection from heated floor and sunlight respectively. Heavy police force will be deployed to ensure fool-proof security. Health department will provide medical care through temporary dispensary set up in temple premises. Besides, three ambulances and five stretchers too will be made available. Fire tenders will be stationed to prevent any untoward situation. Also, makeshift toilets have been set up. To keep a watch on every activity, CCTV cameras too have been installed.
Cashless donation facility
Devotees can make donations digitally with credit and debit cards. A team of business correspondents of Bank of India will provide facility of digital transaction with POS machines.
