Two school students, 3 others end life in 24 hours

BHOPAL : Five suicides were reported within past 24 hours from different parts of the state capital including Hanumanganj, Bairagarh, Ayodhya Nagar, TT Nagar and Kolar area.

The first incident was reported in Hanumanganj area in which a 17-year-old girl student of class 11 committed suicide by hanging self at her house on Thursday afternoon around 1.30 pm.

Investigation officer SI RR Shakya said that the deceased was identified as Julie, 17, daughter of Ravishankar Parihar, resident of Mandi Bamora village Vidisha, and was currently staying at Ghodanakkas area along with mother and two sisters. The second incident was reported from Bairagarh where an eighteen-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging self at Nanda Nagar on Wednesday.

Later when the parents and family members spotted her hanging body they immediately informed the police and following the information, police personnel rushed the spot and after making panchnama later sent her body for the post-mortem. Police said that deceased has been identified as Suraksha (18), daughter of Kailash Chandra, a resident of Nanda Nagar.

In another incident, a 25-year-old youth hanged self in Ayodhya Nagar area on Wednesday. Police said that deceased was identified as Sapna (25), wife of Jitendra Goswami, a resident of Arjun Nagar in Ayodhya Nagar area.

In the fourth incident, a 27-year-old youth habitual drinker namely Vinod Pal hanged self in Sunahri Bag under TT Nagar police station on Wednesday night.

The last incident which took place at Damkheda in Kolar area where Laxman Pal committed suicide by hanging self on Wednesday night.
