Khandwa : Two more accidents were witnessed on the so called killer Indore-Khandwa road, where a passenger bus killed a father-son duo. In another incident two trucks collided with each other, where a driver and a cleaner were seriously injured.
A long line of stranded vehicles was seen after the incident. On the other hands various associations such as Bus Operators Association and other social workers groups have tried to pressurize the administration to broaden the road from Indore to Khandwa.
State BJP President Nand Kumar Singh Chauhan, Kasrawad MLA Sachin Yadav have reached Khandwa. Congress’ State head Arun Yadav would also visit Khandwa very soon.
Four-lane to cost 2200 crore
The Indore-Ichchapur fourlane work might commence by this year-end. The four-lane would be completed within three years and would be costing Rs 2200 crore to the exchequer.
Since the road from the region are curvaceous and go through the ghat sections, which are accident prone. The road would go through places such as Simrol, Baigram, Balwada, Barwaha, Sanawad, Deshgaon, Burhanpur and Shahpur areas.
