Two history-sheeters escape waving gun at cops

BHOPAL: Dodging a police team, two members of the six-member gang of history-sheeters, managed to flee, brandishing a gun in a Ford Ikon car from a country liquor outlet at Ayodhya By-pass under Piplani police station.

However, four miscreants, who were planning a big loot were arrested. All the four were produced in the court and sent on police remand till September 26.

Those who have been arrested include Surendra Dangi, 25, Vijay Dangi, 20, Kuldeep, 19 and Laxman Singh, 35. The two absconders are Bahadur Dangi, 25, and Gopal alias Golu. All the six are from Sehore. The modus operandi of the miscreants was they used to do recee by moving in their Ikon car and used to identify the house and location for committing burglary.

Acting on a tip-off, the Piplani police cordoned off the entire area and swooped down on the liquor outlet. A large cache of arms including swords, knifes, iron rods have been seized.

As per the police, the miscreants accepted committing nine loots in Bhopal during interrogation.

Police recovered household items worth Rs 6.50 lakh. Investigating Officer SKS Chauhan said, “All the four miscreants who have been arrested while chalking out planning of big loot were produced in the court. They have been sent on police remand till September 26.”
