BHOPAL: Two committed suicide in two different incidents by hanging themselves at Misrod and Bairasiya areas late Friday night. Misrod and Bairasiya police registered cases and started investigation. In the first incident, Misrod police said Jatin ( 19), son of Prabhat Kumar, resident of Mahindra Greenwood Town in Misrod was a student of Class 12 in a private school in the city. The father of the deceased is a BSNL employee.

Police further said Friday night he committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of the attached bathroom. The incident came to light on Saturday morning when the father and elder brother of the deceased received no response. When they opened the window of the room, the family members found Jatin hanging from the ceiling of the bathroom. During the investigation police recovered a suicide note from his room in which he wrote: I’ve not done well in my Board exams. So, I am committing suicide.

In another incident, a 20- year- old youth committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling fan on Friday late night. Bairasia said the deceased has been identified as Ram Babu ( 20) son of Fool Chand Kauli, resident of Kulhor area. However, the exact reason behind the step could not be known.

Two held for killing kin with stone

Kamla Nagar police on Friday night arrested two persons who were involved in murdering an old man with a piece of stone at Naya Basera on Thursday night. One of the killers was the brother- in- law of the deceased Both the accused were produced before the court and sent to jail.

ASI Kamla Nagar BL Shakya said police arrested the accused late Friday night. According to reports, Rajjan ( 30), son of Maniram Rahul used to beat up his wife after consuming liquor every day. The wife of the deceased had reached her parents’ house at same and related her tale of woes to her brother Rahul who got angry and decided to solve the problem.

Rahul and his friend Rohit had gone to Rajjan’s house and after some heated exchanges they hit him with a piece of stone and fled. Rajjan slumped to the ground in a pool of blood.

Man dies after falling into well

A 35- year- old man fell into a well and died in railway colony near Habibganj railway railway station under Bagsevaniya police station late on Friday night. The incident took place when the man identified as Anil Sharma went to the well to bring water. Police registered a case of accidental death and the body of deceased has been sent for post- mortem examination.

Fake L’oreal cosmetics worth Rs 20,000 seized

A team of Kotwali police, accompanied by officers of a reputed cosmetic company, on Friday night, raided a cosmetic shop at Lakherapura area and seized fake products of reputed brands worth Rs 20,000. On the complaint of officers of the cosmetic company police have seized the fake products carrying the labels of a foreign name- brand and arrested the owner of shop. Kotwali police gave information that an FIR has been lodged against Kapil Kumar son of Rajkumar Udwani, resident of Gandhi Nagar. The accused is the owner of New Beauty Collection cosmetic shop, at Lakherapura area. Police said that few days ago, manager of Mumbai based company, Perfect Intelligence Pvt. Ltd, Neelesh Mahatre lodged a complaint that cosmetics products of reputed company L’oreal including shampoo, talcum powder, lipstick, hair colour, facials and face packs were being sold by the accused shop owner.

Acting on the complaint, on Friday night police raided the shop and seized a large amount of fake cosmetics with labels of company. The police seized all the fake cosmetics and have been sent for laboratory test in Pune. Police also registered a case under sections420 and 51/ 63 of IPC and arrested the owner of the shop.
