BHOPAL : The issue of the Vyapam scam (Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board), which has been hitting the headlines in media for the last one year and even has been raised in Parliament, also figured in the CM’s speech on Independence Day.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, “The Vyapam scam – irregularities in recruitment and admission in professional colleges – is also plaguing other states of the country but I ordered for the probe in Madhya Pradesh and those who are involved in Vyapam scam, are in jail. I will try to bring the truth before the people. Those who are calling state as “state of murders” will be exposed.”
Chauhan was addressing people after inspecting guard of honour at state level Independence Day function at Lal Parade Ground.
“There will be a “Bhu-Sudhar” Ayog in Madhya Pradesh for the welfare of the farmer and labourers. The Ayog will ensure facilities like plots and houses for them”, the CM said, adding “Every citizen should discharge his responsibility with commitment to contribute to the state’s development.”
A master plan has been chalked out to convert state’s villages to Smart Villages. Scenario of villages is transforming due to availability of power, roads, clean drinking water, education and digital communication network, CM said.
He said that the state government is committed to ensure that no eligible forest dweller remains deprived of forest land rights certificate. A fast track court will be established to dispose of forest land disputes of forest dwellers. Scholarships are being given to students belonging to SC, ST and OBC.
The state government aims at ensuring quality education to every student in addition to the students of the SC and ST. The state government will bear expenses of education of other children too, CM added.
Shejwar faints during I-Day function
Forest minister Dr Gauri Shankar Shejwar fainted during Independence Day celebration programme at Vidisha. He was taken to Hospital and there high sugar level was detected during check up.
