BHOPAL : A policeman was injured after a truck deliberately hit a police van at Makhi village under Misrod police on the intermittent night of Thursday-Friday. Misrod police have registered a case of attempt to murder against the truck driver.
Pan masala packed in cartons were being shifted from one truck to another. A police team, which smelled a rat chased them. One truck driver managed to flee while the other tried to hit the police van leaving one police man injured.
As per the police, there were two trucks with registration numbers MP-09-9884 and MP-06-HC-2459. Cartons were being shifted from truck number MP-09-9884 to truck number MP-06-HC-2459 at Makhi village. Police team noticed this and chased them. The truck number MP-06-HC-2459 managed to flee but the other one hit police van from the side in an attempt to flee from spot and then hit it again while reversing. Head constable Ramnaresh Sharma sustained injuries.
