BHOPAL : Traffic arrangements have been put in place for the festival of Dol Gyaras on Thursday. A procession would be taken out under the aegis of Dol Gyaras Samiti in Old Bhopal from Ganesh Chowk, which would pass through Savarkar Chowk, Lakherapura, Peergate, Loha Bazar, Sarafa Chauk, Ibrahimpura, Budhwara, Lily Talkies and culminate at the Lower Lake.
Traffic arrangements would be as following: movement of heavy vehicles with permission will be prohibited on the procession route from 11am to 11pm. When the procession would be at Peergate, vehicles would be diverted via Imami Gate.Other public transport like Magic, Minibus, Citybus would be prohibited on procession route. Traffic diversion would be done from Bharat Talkies and Control Room Trisection when the procession would come towards Jehangirabad. Traffic would be diverted from old Aquarium to Khatlapura.
Traffic arrangements have been made for people offering Namaz at Idgah Hills on account of festival of Eid-ul-Adha on September 25 in the city.
The entry of heavy vehicles coming from Lalghati to Bhopal will be prohibited from 6am to 11pm. These heavy vehicles will go from Narsinghgarh Trisection, Gandhinagar Trisection, New Jail, Karond Square to Bus Stand. Similarly, entry of heavy vehicles from Pulbogda, Bharat Talkies, Hamidia Road will also be banned from 6 am to 11pm. They would go via Ayodhya Bypass and Bhanpur to Bus Stand. Buses and private buses going from Bus Stand to Indore Road will come to Halalpura. The heavy vehicles of people coming to offer Namaz at Idgah Hills will be parked at the ground in front of Cancer Hospital. The light vehicles and two-wheelers of people coming to offer Namaz at Idgah Hills will come from GAD Crossing, Golghar, Tarun Pushkar and would be parked at the parking spot in front of Idgah.
