Digital India campaign, Cashless transaction will end black money, terrorism, corruption: CM
BHOPAL : Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, addressing in a programme on launching of ‘Digital India Campaign’ at CM House here on Saturday, said the idea to provide five lakh ‘point of selling’ (PoS) machines to businessmen in the state is under consideration.
The campaign is being launched under ‘Campus to Community’ programme of higher education department. The State Bank of India and National Service Scheme will also collaborate. The CM flagged off the awareness vehicle of the campaign on the occasion.
Chouhan said state government is trying to promote digital transaction. Attempts are being made to limit the need of cash in financial transactions. Madhya Pradesh is the leading state in implementing ‘Digital India Campaign’. He said digital India drive is the permanent solution to fix the problems of black money, terrorism and corruption. Effective efforts are needed to inform and educate people on promoting cashless transaction. The role of awareness campaign is important. He hoped that the campaign would succeed in expanding the benefits of financial revolution to remote areas as disciplined, enthusiastic and nationalist volunteers of NSS are associated with the campaign.
Minister for higher education Jaibhan Singh Pavaiya said Indian population may be low in literacy rate but it is leading in the world in wisdom.
