BHOPAL : Arun Kumar Tiwari, whose appointment has been cancelled, was appointed as a daily wager during the regime of Chief Minister Sunderlal Patwa. Mansukhlal whose petition led to removal of Tiwari, was the person who got the latter appointed as daily wager in Nagar Panchayat, Mauganj.
During Congress regime in 1993, the relations between Tiwari and Mansukhlal became bitter and he was removed from Nagar Panchayat. According to Mansukhlal, Tiwari manipulated his documents and got his services merged in Local Government Department. Mansukhlal claimed that Tiwari’s merger was cancelled by the High Court in 1995.
Despite High Court’s order, Tiwari continued working as daily wager in Local Government Department and former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh got him merged in Water Resources Department.
Tiwari’s wife, Manjulata Tiwari is a Congress leader in Rewa. She was former District Panchayat President and that is why former Speaker Shrinivas Tiwari got manipulations done, alleged Mansukhlal.
Appointment during term of Ravindra Sharma
Arun Tiwari was posted as sub-engineer in Water Resources Department during the term of retired IAS Ravindra Sharma as Secretary of WRD. Sharma as an officer was close to Digvijay Singh and he was appointed as member of Complaint Redressal Cell of Narmada Valley Development Authority (NVDA) after his retirement.
