Bhopal: Forest department could not trace out main accused of tiger death in Ratapani sanctuary in Raisen district, so far.
On Monday, a carcass of tiger was found with severed paws and tail. Following which Ram Singh Vishwakarma was arrested and tail was recovered from his possession.
Lala Ram, from whose house the officials have discovered a trap, is believed to be main accused. Forest department conducted raids to nab him, in vain. Forest department claims that teams have close vigil on his activities and movement. His kin were also rounded up by the department.
When the matter of Tiger’s death was raised in a meeting of Bhopal circle’s senior forest officials the officials concerned responded that teams have been pressed into job to trace out the other accused. Secondly, viscera report is awaited, to ascertain the cause of tiger’s death. CCF Dr SC Tiwari said, “In the meeting, development related issues were discussed. We have also discussed the issue how to trap the main accused.”
