MORENA : On Saturday, the Civil Lines police arrested three smugglers of illegal weapons. A country-made gun of 315 bore, 12 country-made pistols and five live cartridges including motorcycle were recovered. Santosh Kushwaha had bought these illicit arms from Aligarh of Uttar Pradesh.

He bought arms for Rs.1000 from Aligarh and sold it in Rs 1500 to Rs 3000 in Morena district. Dalveer and Hari Om Tyagi were the other persons who were with Santosh in this business. Police have registered a case under sections 25-27 of Arms Act against the accused and the action would be taken to those people who are involved with them. Police suspect that in and around Aligarh, a factory for making illegal arms may be operational from where a large number of weapons were brought. The accused admitted that he was doing this business of bringing the arms from Aligarh region to the place from very long time. Police had caught him with weapons earlier too.
