BHOPAL : The city crime branch has nabbed three miscreants from Sarvadharma Colony, who were involved in snatching mobile from a girl in Chunna Bhatti area and stealing mobiles from Jehangirabad and MP Nagar areas.
The accused were arrested while they were looking for buyers to sell stolen mobiles at Sarvadharam Colony. Besides their arrest, cops have also recovered four mobiles from their possession.
ASP (Crime) Shailendra Singh Chauhan said that the arrested accused were identified as Rahul (19), son of Ramesh Kanade, Ajay (18), son of Jagan Wankhede and Manish Shukla (20), all resides in Shahpura area.
ASP Chauhan further said, “Their arrest was made following a tip-off from an informer that three suspicious youths were selling stolen mobile phones at very cheap rates following which police swung into action and cordoned them off”.
During further interrogation, the arrested accused confessed to having snatched mobile from a girl at Chunna Bhatti while she was returning from Kaliasot dam. Apart from it, the accused told the police that they had stolen a high-end mobile after breaking the window glass of a car in MP Nagar and another phone from the Jehangirabad area.
All the arrested accuseds were booked on charges of loot and thefts and were presented in the court from where they were sent to jail.
