BHOPAL :  Three city-based young theatre actors including Abhijeet Solanki, Sushikant Mishra and Indira Tiwari have been selected for National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi. It is noted worthy here that written exam, audition and interview were held in May and June this year. Sharing her experience, freelance actor Indira Tiwari says, “It was my first attempt.

I’ve just completed my graduation and luckily I got selected. Before filling form of NSD, I was full confident that I’ll give my best and I did so. Also I made up my mind that I won’t fill form next year either I got selection or not. This was my first and last form.” “Competition was very tough because we have to fight for 26 seats out of 450 in three rounds. Bhopal and Delhi have been very lucky for me and feel proud to be born in Bhopal. First of all, all credit goes to my mother who identifies my creativity at right time and motivated me always. I would like to thanks to all senior theatre actors and directors for their support and learnt a lot from them.

Really I’m feeling very happy,” Tiwari added “It was my third attempt. Earlier, I tried in 2009 and 2010. In 2011, I got selection for MPSD, first batch. After completing one diploma course in acting from MPSD, I’ve been working in direction and have directed some plays for our theatre group.” says Abhijeet Solanki, alumni of MPSD first batch. “Competition was tough. Interview process was little bit tough for me because they asked all question regarding direction because my first preference is in direction.

I would like to give credit to director of MPSD Sanjay Upadhyay because he encouraged me to fill form this time. Also I would like to thanks to all my friends and team members for their support,” added Solanki. “It was my second attempt but first time I could reach till final audition and luckily got selection. All credit goes to my guru, friends and team members of Rang Vidushak. Group audition was very tough for me because we had to understand the person who comes from different states and language. But finally I’m feeling very happy after section”, said Sushilkant Mishra who has been working in Rangvidushak theatre group, Bhopal.
