Indore : Tukoganj police detained three persons in connection with a robbery incident two on Saturday. However, the accused have denied of robbing the youth and told the police that they had an argument with the complainant over a petty issue after which he filed a false report of robbery. The police are investigating the matter.
According to ASP Bittu Sehgal, three persons— Shahrukh, Farhan and Sanu of Kaji ki Chawl have been detained for robbing auto-garage owner Saurabh Katiyar of Kumhar Khadi. Saurabh had filed a complaint that he along with his brother Golu was returning home on Thursday night when the accused robbed him of Rs 5000 and also thrashed them. On the basis of registration number of bike, the police have detained the youths.
They told the police that they were returning home on a bike when Saurabh’s bike hit their vehicle on Park Road and he started arguing with them. A security guard had also pacified them but Saurabh approached police and filed a false case. Investigating Officer S-I SK Patel said that they were questioning the youths to know the true story. We will also book Saurab if we find the robbery case false.
