Piplia (Mandsaur) : Thieves struck at various places in the town and Bahi Parshavnath and decamped with the booty worth lakhs. They broke into five houses on Thursday night and fled with cash and ornaments. Police have registered the case and launched a manhunt to nab the them.
The first incident occurred at bypass road where thieves broke into the house of block veterinary doctor Ejaj Hussain Bohra when he went to mosque with his family. Thieves entered through front gate by breaking the lock, ransacked the whole house and decamped with cash worth Rs 12 crores and gold and silver ornaments.
Second and third incident also occurred in the nearby houses but their attempt averted due to the alertness of the residents. They entered in the house of Anil Kumar Mujawadiya and ransacked the house but they got nothing. Residents lodged complaint with the police on Friday morning. Police inspected the houses, made the panchnama and started further investigations.
Similarly, in Bahi Parshavnath, some unidentified miscreants broke into the house of farmer Labhchand Patel through roof and fled with cash worth Rs 67,000 and gold ornaments including a gold chain, locket, Bengals and one licensed pistol.
TI Laxman Singh Gurjar reached at the spot and thoroughly investigated the house and called dog squad but didn’t get any clue. He informed that they have taken some suspects into the custody and the interrogation is on.
