BHOPAL : Cash and jewellery were stolen from a marriage garden and a house in separate incidents on Thursday. Jewellery worth Rs 2.25 lakh was stolen by two thieves from Sun City marriage garden located in Koh-e-Fiza area. They were captured by a CCTV camera.
In another incident in Hanuman Ganj area, Rs 60,000 was stolen by thieves from a shopkeeper’s carry bag on Thursday. He had come from Rehti to Jumerati market for clear his dues.
According to Koh-e-Fiza police, Narayan Prasad Athnere lives in Coach Factory area. His daughter’s marriage ceremony was organised in the garden. While the family members were busy with ceremonies, a bag containing jewellery went missing at around 4 pm on Thursday. Family members searched for the bag everywhere but didn’t find it. When they complained to the manager, he scanned the CCTV footage only to discover that two thieves had carried away the bag. The Police have registered an FIR and are trying to identifying the thieves with the help of footage. Hanumanganj police said that a shopkeeper Sajan Kumar of Rehti area came to MahaLaxmi Provisions situated in Jumerati to clear his dues. He was carrying Rs 60,000 in a plastic carry bag, which went missing.
