BHOPAL : Referring to the recent terror attack at Pathankot Air Base, Union Minister for Heavy Industries Anant Geete told a press conference here on Tuesday that Pakistan should be paid back in the same coin.

Geete said being a Shiv Sainik he was in favour of immediate retaliation but as a Minister he feels that the government is treading in the right direction. He said Pakistan was provoking India by launching terror attacks on her from its soil.

Geete said new industries would be set up in collaboration with the state government on land lying unused in the BHEL Township. He said such industries would be identified which would benefit the BHEL too.

Geete said Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan had proposed two options and he liked the option of using land for joint ventures. He said privatisation of BHEL was not possible as long as he was there. He said that BHEL was incurring losses in the current fiscal as inflow of orders had fallen from Rs 50,000 crore to Rs 30,000 crore but in the coming times, the situation would improve.

Replying on a question related to elections of BHEL employees unions, Geete said elections would be held in April, 2016. He said a card for industrial workers working in other states would be made which would help in keep their provident fund safe.

Geete said he is interacting with the people and taking their feedback on the public welfare schemes launched by the NDA government.

He said all Union Ministers are interacting with commoners in various states and he too had interacted with the people in Bhopal.
