Khargone : Few local residents of Ghokpura consecrated an idol beneath a Neem tree. However, this activity led to a sudden communal heat up. A resident named Mukhtyaar complained against this activity at Kotwali, stating that the place, where the idol has been consecrated is exactly opposite to his piece of land and this consecration may lead to future riot. He also accused the residents of encroaching the land and establishing a temple.
As per the information received, the police force had already left for the disputed land. SP Amit Singh, himself inspected the area.
It may be noted that the area is considered to be highly sensitive. The man- woman, who had consecrated the idol, did not agree to remove the idol at first place. Even the collector had to come down to the area and talk out the situation.
SP Amit Singh informed the people that before establishing any religious spot, it is a compulsion to get the permission approved by the district magistrate.
On hearing this, the women revealed that anti- social activities prevail at night including gambling, eve- teasing and much more. Hence they decided to consecrate an idol and get rid of such activities.
SP then instructed that such anti- social are not tolerable and he assured that these activities shall be stopped instantly.
After a slog for long hours, the idol was established at another place.
