BHOPAL : Hudhud cyclone paralysed normal life in most of the places in eastern parts of the state. Heavy rainfall as well as sharp fall in day temperature has been registered at many places in various districts in the last 24 hours because of Hudhud cyclone.
Jabalpur and Shahdol divisions recorded heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours while Rewa and Sagar division are likely to experience heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.
Besides, day temperature also fell drastically in various in various places in various divisions like Jabalpur, Sagar, Shahdol divisions.
Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places over Sagar, Rewa divisions in the next 24 hours.
Director Meteorological department Dr Anupam Kashyapi said, ” Hudhud has advanced into Uttar Pradesh but Sagar and Rewa divisions may witness heavy rains in the next 24 hours”. Meanwhile Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has instructed the district collectors to be prepared for Hudhud . He was addressing a high level meeting with meteorological department director for assessing the intensity of Hudhud cyclone.
Chief secretary Antony de Sa and other officials were also present in the meeting. Meteorological department director Dr Anupam Kashyapi gave the presentation about Hudhud and its effect in the state.
