BHOPAL : At a meeting of the state cabinet held here on Tuesday, it was decided that state-based suppliers and entrepreneurs would be given preference in purchase by various departments.
The cabinet decided that Stock Purchase Rules would be amended to provide that if a supplier from outside the state offers the lowest rates in response to be a tender, the suppliers from the state would be first given the option to make the supply at the same rate. The outside supplier offering minimum rate may be given the contract along with three state based suppliers on the same rate.
In the cabinet meeting, Powerloom Burhanpur was also included amongst the list of firms from which the government departments can make purchases.
A decision to allot 9.73 acre land for construction of Stadium in Itarsi to Department of Sports and Youth Welfare was also taken. Infrastructure related construction like outdoor stadium, football stadium; pavilion building, indoor stadium, and hostel along with external construction like road, parking, path-way, water and power supply, sewage lines would also be developed. The cabinet decided to make the process of cancellation of lease deed of allotted land to industries more stringent.
The order of cancellation of lease deed would be given a legal form and relaxation in stamp and registration fee would be provided on such orders.
CM to review departmental functioning from Jan 4
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will review the working of departments from January 4. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra said this time departmental review would be different from the past. The departments would be asked to furnish information on implementation of various schemes through ‘Sankalp Patra’ and ‘Drishti Patra’. It would be reviewed whether people are getting benefits of governmental schemes or not. Information would also be sought about expenditure of departmental budget.
