BHOPAL : Before initiating the process of property attachment of mining baron Sudhir Sharma, the court has given another chance to him to appear before it. He has now been asked to appear not later than July 28.
CJM Pankaj Singh Maheshwari, in his order, instructed Sharma to appear till July 28. The court will decide the next course of action on July 28.
Earlier, his anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the Supreme Court on Tuesday. His name is in the FIR of sub-Inspectors’ appointment and constables’ recruitment frauds. One month’s time is given to the accused after he is declared an absconder. That period ended on July 21 but he did not surrender and the court reserved the order on attachment of his property on July 21.
As Sharma’s anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the Supreme Court, the CJM court gave another Sharma another chance to appear before it till July 28.
Sudhir Sharma had demanded copies of documents which the STF had submitted in the court against him. But the court clarified that documents will be handed over personally to him and for that Sharma will have to appear in the court.
STF SP DK Tiwari said, “The anticipatory bail plea of Sudhir Sharma has been rejected by Supreme Court. The process of property attachment will naturally follow”.
