BHOPAL : The students of Radcliffe School showcased colourful cultural performances including skits, play, folk and western dances superbly here on Wednesday at Ravindra Bhawan. The whole programme was based on cleanliness of environment and soul.
The programme began with welcome song and Ganesh Stuti. It was followed by the beautiful dance performance of tiny-tots of KG 1 and 2, based on fairy tales and jungle theme, which mesmerised the audience. They danced on the song songs ‘Tare Zameen Per…,’ ‘Kaun Hu Main kya Naam….’, ‘Tarre Aasma pe Dharti Pe…,’ ‘Zoobi Doobi…,’ ‘I’m Barbie Girl…,’ Mere Saath Aao Mere Doston…,’ Chun- Chun Karti Aayi Chidiya….,’ and ‘Prem Se Humkon Jeene Do…’. A western dance on song ‘Without you…, ‘La-La Ribbon…,’ and Salsa dance were also presented by the students of class I, II and III.
After that, some short play of skits including ‘Polythene’ ‘Gandhi’ and ‘Tourist play’ were staged which were based on theme of cleanliness of environment and soul which enchanted audience. It was narrated by a narrator. ‘ Mantu Kaka ka play’, ‘Sorry Sorry’ and ‘Swachchh’ were staged under Polythene play by boys of class I while ‘Gandhi statue inauguration’, ‘Jhini Jhini ‘ Raghupati Raghav Raja Raam’ dance were presented by classs II students, which delighted the audience.
Two skits ‘Marak and Mustafa’ and Ganga Avtaran’ and Rajasthani folk dances including Kalbeliya were presented marvellously by students including boys and girls under Tourist play.
“We are performing Kalbeliya and Golaband dance for the first time. These are folk dances of Rajasthan which were taught by my teacher within one week. We enjoyed a lot and feel very excited to perform,” said 10-year-old Priyal Agrawal, who is a student of class 4 and was looking very cute in colourful folk attire and jewellery.The programme ended with vote of thanks and national anthem.
