BHOPAL : The Special Task Force probing the Vyapam scam is under tremendous pressure of the government, as far as investigations into Transport Constable Recruitment scam is considered.

The STF had received a report way back in June from a laboratory in Ahmedabad regarding irregularities committed in the said Test.

The report had confirmed that the OMR sheets were filled after the examinees had submitted them.

The STF had got the recovered MS Excel Sheets examined and it knew that as many as 34 candidates managed to qualify in the said Test using wrong means but under pressure of the government, the first information report ( FIR) was not filed.

Congress state chief spokesman KK Mishra, in the month of June, had levelled allegations against Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and his wife in connection with the Test.

At that time, the state Assembly was in session and that is why the government decided to keep the discovery under wraps.

The FIR in this case has been filed in view of the hearing in High Court, Jabalpur Jabalpur in this case.

Sources said the main accused in Vyapam scam, Pankaj Trivedi and Nitin Mahindra have revealed during interrogation that irregularities were committed in Transport Constables Recruitment Test but their statements were not recorded then. Some high profile names were coming to the fore, who had made recommendations for selection of candidates in the said Test.

In order to protect them, the filing of FIR was delayed. No high- profile name figures in the 39 FIRs filed in Transport Constable Recruitment Test scam. Although five days have passed but the names of the accused in the FIRs have also not been disclosed yet.
