BHOPAL: NSUI, the students’ wing of the Congress will gherao chief minister’s residence on June 22 demanding that the fees charged from Vyapam examinees should be returned and that direct elections to student unions should be held.
At a meeting of the state executive and district-level office bearers here on Sunday, the plan for a month-long agitation against the state government was chalked out, said its national president Roji John. John told media persons that district units will handover memorandum to district collectors for returning fee to Vyapam scam victims on May 11 and would hold demonstrations at Gwalior, Jabalpur and Ujjain universities.
A two-day orientation programme ‘Drishtikon’ will be held on May 27-28 in Delhi for state-level office-bearers and district presidents. Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi will address it.
On June, NSUI workers will hold burn effigy of higher education minister Umashankar Gupta in protest against online admission system.
